MEET THE PUBLISHERMICHAEL OLUKUNMI OLUWABUNMI

Started my publishing career as a young boy as a sales clerk, selling educational and professional books at Freedom Bookshop, Ibadan the capital city of Oyo State, South - Western Nigeria, and West Africa.
The experience at Freedom Bookshop for me was strange but serves as the needed platform where many positive things were given birth to. It forms the basis and the catalyst for my publishing career take - off and also for my soaring and successful career in the educational sector of the publishing industry.
The platform enabled me to meet and interact with young, intelligent and future potentially loaded fellows like myself, resulting in the establishment of a network that not only launched me into the publishing industry officially after my university degree years later, but also serves as the reservoir to tap from as occasion demands, while building my career.
By mid towards late 90s, Rasmed Publications took the publishing industry in Nigeria by storm, with the publisher and CEO being products of my established network at Freedom Bookshop.
Searching and looking for what to do in the labor market was never my experience in 2000, after graduation, as a "sales executive" job with Rasmed Publications was already waiting for me to pick, which I joyfully picked, embraced and committedly put my all to achieve outstanding success.
Rasmed Publications is an educational book publishing company and my area of coverage was the middle belt (North central) region of Nigeria.
Kogi, Kwara, Niger and Benue states, with Ogbomosho in Oyo state and Ejigbo in Osun state of Nigeria make up the middle belt region of my coverage area.
The regional operating office was in Ilorin the capital city of Kwara State.
Worked with this book publishing company, turning things around, with sales and customer - base rise on a yearly basis, for the period of four (4) years with the company, while running my postgraduate programme in applied geophysics, at the same time.
Joined the water industry in 2003, starting with European Union (EU) /Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN), middle belt programme, in the water resources department, as a geologist. The middle belt programme covers, Niger, Kogi, Kwara and Benue states, with the head office located In Ilorin Kwara state, Nigeria.

The water resources department is composed of: Geophysical survey unit, Borehole drilling unit and Installation unit respectively. It was a lifetime time experience with EU-FGN middle belt programme. But i still felt that somethings were missing that i needed to prepare myself for the task ahead my future so as not only to be relevant as a WASH expert, but also to becoming one of the world changers in my chosen field.
The drive for bigger and more tasking projects in competitive environment landed me in Unipumps Nigeria Limited, a water engineering company in Lagos Nigeria, in 2004. Unipumps Nigeria Limited is an affiliate to Obasanjo Holdings Limited (OHL). Did i have what I wanted at Unipumps Nigeria Limited? Yes i got it.
At Unipumps Nigeria Ltd, i was given the opportunity to head one of the three (3) project teams of the company, supervising mega water projects worth billions of naira across Nigeria. Very challenging, but very interesting, impacting and a worthy experience.

This platform allows me to meet and interact with Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) experts from governments water resources departments, water agencies, NGO's (World Bank, UNICEF, EU etc) staffs, and experts from consultants, at project site progress meetings, seminars, workshops, bid/tender meetings, contract signing Ceremonies, on project sites, in offices etc.
Four (4) years at Unipumps Nigeria Ltd took me to more than twenty six (26) states out of the current thirty six (36) states in Nigeria including the Federal capital territory, Abuja. The turning point in my water career took place between 2004 and 2009, at Unipumps Nigeria Limited.
Started my own private business Faith Hydroworks Ltd a water engineering company, in 2010. Faith Hydroworks Ltd gave birth to Aqua360Degree magazine and her affiliates (Aqua360Degree TV and MOOC), both in 2018.
An author and writer since 2007, writing Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) related articles that were published on local and international platforms.

Publisher, Aqua360Degree magazine since May 2018 till date.
